Morris Island Conservation Area is located along the Ottawa River near the community of Fitzroy Harbour. This 47 hectare site consists of forested woodlands and wetlands. With 6 km of trails, this beautiful island encourages you to enjoy the best of Ontario’s weather throughout the seasons: Hike, canoe, kayak, dog walk, jog, fish, snowshoe, cross country ski and much more. Morris Island Conservation Area is managed by MVCA and jointly owned by Ontario Power Generation and the City of Ottawa.

Effective January 1, 2021, the site fee will be $6/vehicle. Annual passes which can be used at all of MVCA’s conservation areas are also available for $47 and can be purchased online. Passes can be purchased at our pay machine as you enter the conservation area. Our pay machine takes coins and credit only.
