Conservation Areas

Home > Conservation Areas

When visiting a Conservation Area, please remember, take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints.

You may encounter wildlife in these natural areas such as bears, foxes, coyotes, skunks, deer and porcupines.

MVCA operates six Conservation Areas that are open to the public.  They are open daily from dawn until dusk. Please be prepared to take your garbage with you.

Payment is required at the Mill of Kintail and Morris Island at a per-vehicle price. Day passes are valid for four hours. Annual passes can also be purchased online. Visit the day passes page for all current pricing. All fees support ongoing maintenance at your conservation areas.

Dogs (and their owners!) are welcome at all our conservation areas.  We do ask that you pick up after them and keep a few things in mind when you come to visit us, for you, your dog, and all our other visitors’ enjoyment.
