Conservation Areas

MVCA operates six Conservation Areas that are open to the public.  They are open daily from dawn until dusk. When visiting a Conservation Area, please remember, take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints. Please be prepared to take your garbage with you.

You may encounter wildlife in these natural areas such as bears, foxes, coyotes, skunks, deer and porcupines.

Payment is required at the Mill of Kintail and Morris Island at a per-vehicle price. Day passes are valid for four hours. Annual passes can also be purchased online. Visit the conservation area passes page for all current pricing. All fees support ongoing maintenance at your conservation areas.

Dogs (and their owners!) are welcome at all our conservation areas.  We do ask that you pick up after them and keep a few things in mind when you come to visit us, for you, your dog, and all our other visitors’ enjoyment.
