MVCA is pleased to offer Phragmites Removal Kits for landowners, community groups, and municipalities to rent. These kits can help facilitate the removal of in-water. Invasive Phragmites using the cut-to-drown method, and is recommended for stands no larger than 400 m².

Kits can be rented as of July 16^th, and are available for 2-week periods. Kits contain the following:

• 8 raspberry cane cutters
• 8 safety glasses
• 4 bypass pruners
• 3 spade shovels
• 1 box of black garbage bags
• 2 pairs of hip waders (sizes are limited)
• 1 how-to guide

Please note we also have a Native Phragmites in Ontario. Therefore, we require landowners to report their stand to EDDMapS to confirm the presence of Invasive Phragmites before renting this equipment.
