About Silver Lake
Silver Lake is a cold water lake located in the Township of Central Frontenac and Bathurst Burgess and Sherbrooke. It has an elevation of 206 metres above sea level. The perimeter of the lake is 9.2 kilometres and the deepest point is 24.4 metres.
Silver Lake supports a cold water fishery, in particular; Lake Trout, Splake, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass. Public boat launches are located in Silver Lake Provincial Park and at a rest stop area both located along Hwy # 7.
As of 1995 there were 87 cottages, 1 house and 3 (185) resorts including Silver Lake Provincial Park.

Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority and its partner, the Mississippi Valley Lake Stewardship Network, are taking action through Watershed Watch, a program designed to protect and enhance the environmental health of lakes within the watershed. The monitoring results are posted as State of the Lake Reports. Each lake in the program is sampled every five years.
