About Palmerston Lake
Palmerston Lake is a cold water lake located in the Township of North Frontenac. It has an elevation of 271 metres above sea level. The perimeter of the lake is 29 kilometres and the deepest point is 56.4 metres. It supports a cold water fishery, in particular; Lake Trout, Lake Herring, Yellow Perch and Smallmouth Bass.
A public boat launch is located at the Palmerston Canonto Conservation Area, beside the Palmerston Lake dam, at the north end of the lake.
As of 1995, there were 141 cottages and 4 (123) resorts.

Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority and its partner, the Mississippi Valley Lake Stewardship Network, are taking action through Watershed Watch, a program designed to protect and enhance the environmental health of lakes within the watershed. The monitoring results are posted as State of the Lake Reports. Each lake in the program is sampled every five years.
