Free Family Day Admission at MVCA’s Conservation Areas
February 14, 2019 CARLETON PLACE—After digging out from the latest snowfall, Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) is encouraging the public to take advantage of the forecasted sunshine and step into nature at one of its conservation areas this Family Day – for free!
“MVCA is pleased to once again offer free admission to our conservation areas for Family Day, Monday February 18, 2019,” said MVCA Community Relations Coordinator Shannon Gutoskie. “There is much to see as the Mill of Kintail and Morris Island offer a variety of scenic trails. Bundle up, grab the leash and your furry friend and bring the whole family for a hike or snowshoe and enjoy a memorable outing.”
The Mill of Kintail and Morris Island Conservation Areas are open year-round from dawn until dusk, seven days a week. Purdon Conservation Area is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week during the months of May to October.
MVCA is one of 36 Conservation Authorities in Ontario. Formed in 1968, MVCA’s mandate is to manage the watershed’s resources in partnership with our eleven member municipalities and the Province of Ontario.
